The Club is gearing up for Summer Camp! Camp will run 8 weeks, from June 25th through August 18th (last day of camp). We welcome campers from age 4 (those having turned 4 by July 1st 2018) and older.
We are pleased to announce that Meghan Foster will be our Camp Director this year. Meghan is currently a 2nd grade teacher at Assumption School in Ansonia and has many years of experience as a teacher and working with children. Meghan is energetic, organized and excited to be a part of camp. Katherine Flaherty and Colleen Flannigan will be returning and will be joined by new counselors, Olivia Zinno, Brandon Austin, George Mahfood and Arian Agadi.
Highfield Camp is a day camp that focuses on the skills of golf, tennis and swimming. In addition to the structured sports, there is time for free swim, crafts and summertime fun (e.g. whiffle ball, soccer, slip and slide, kick ball and field trips). The camp day begins at 9am. Drop off time begins at 8:45am. The camp day ends at 4pmand pick up is by 4:15pm. A parent or a designated adult needs to sign in and out for the child each day.
Summer 2018 fees will be as follows (per week):
Members - $200
Guests - $300
Golf and Tennis will be offered on a daily basis. Billy Murray, Richard Makepeace and their assistants will be in charge of daily instruction for the golf and tennis portion of camp.
Lunch at camp is available by the week. Ken will provide a kid friendly menu at a weekly fee of $30. Camp lunch is optional and lunches from home may be sent in lieu of ordering from Highfield. We ask that you send in snacks with your child on a daily basis along with a refillable water bottle.
Camp registration forms are be available here. In addition to the forms posted there we will also require a physical form. If you do not have a copy of one for school or sports, you can have the following filled out here.
Note: Due the extended last day of school in many towns because of the storms/tornados, we will allow for partial week camp attendance the week of June 25th Cost will be pro-rated based on days attending.
If you have submitted one last year, you are fine as they are good on file for 3 years. At an absolute minimum, the Highfield Office must receive registration at least one week prior to start date. Otherwise, a $25 late fee (per camper) will apply. Camp will be staffed according to those signed up by the following week.
Please contact us if you have any questions or suggestions. Suggestions help make the camp even better.
